We will meet online weekly via Zoom. Classes will be recorded.
Adventures in Writing Grades 3-5th, older struggling students
$190 per semester/$380 year
Online Mondays 11:00-12:00 EST
28 weeks
Min/Max Students: 10/15*
Curriculum: Adventures in Writing student book, portable wall
Students will explore a wide variety of fascinating subjects. They will write about tornadoes, the Roman Colosseum, John Muir, and much more. They will learn to write using the Structure and Style writing method. This course includes Units 1-7 and includes vocabulary words and activities. This is considered a level A class. Level A classes contain source texts written in the 3rd -5th-grade level.
Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales Grades 4-7th, older struggling students
$210 per semester ($420/yr)
Online Thursdays, 1:00-2:15 EST
30 weeks
Min/Max Students: 10/12*
Curriculum: Fables, Myths & Fairy Tales student book, portable wall and Fix it Grammar book 1 Student/Teacher Combo.
Let your students’ imaginations soar while enjoying classic children’s tales and learning to write with the IEW Structure and Style Method. This course includes Units 1-8 and includes vocabulary words and activities. This is considered a level A class. Level A classes contain source texts written in the 3rd -5th-grade level.
This course will also include Fix It Grammar Book 1 Nose Tree.
Ancient History-Based Writing Lessons Grades 4-8th, older struggling students
$210 per semester ($420/yr)
Online: Wednesdays, 1:30-2:45 EST
30 weeks
Min/Max: 10/12*
Curriculum: Ancient History-Based Writing Lessons student book, portable wall, Fix it Grammar 2 Student/Teacher Combo
Students will explore fascinating aspects of the Ancient World while learning how to write using the IEW Structure and Style Writing Method. This course includes Units 1-9 and includes vocabulary words and activities. This is considered an upper Level A class. Level A classes contain source texts written in the 3rd -5th-grade level.
This course will also include Fix It Grammar Book 2 Town Mouse and Country Mouse.
Note: This curriculum has a simplified source text option and advanced additions for older or struggling learners.
